Landscape-Jasper

Quite easy to see, this stone earns its name due to the pictures and patterns that can be discovered within it. You don't need to be an artist to see landscapes, dunes, clouds, oceans, hills, sometimes even almost photographic pictures of trees, woods and other very real objects.

Once part of the primordial oceans bottom - besides tickling our fantasy and creativity - landscape jasper gives us an original, earthly feeling of pure, unspoiled originality and simpleness, of peacefulness and basic trust. It helps to come down from stress.

The market offers two different varieties of landscape-jasper. One is a true jasper - which has a very fine crystalline structure and a high grade of silicification. The other one resembles a sandstone. You easily can feel it, when touching the stones. But just looking at it, you won't see much difference - at least if you're not a skilled mineralogist or geologist.
